I know that "am/pm" is somewhat embedded in English language, but please, please use the same date/time formats that user has set to his phone. Or add 12/24 h selection in setup.
I agree, this will annoy me once I am back in Austria speaking German all the time, especially when showing it to my Austrian co-workers what I discovered in Carv.

24 hr should be an option.
Option should default to user’s locale.
Problem: Locale may change. The first locale detected, from user registration, or first use of Carv app should be used to initialize option.

Both phone OSes have an API to handle the locale, the app doesn't have much to do
