Access and analyse Carv data via a website and not just in the app

Requirement:
View and interrogate Carv data outside the Androind/iOS app

Must have:
Login to a Carv website to view all user data in a web browser. Includes individual metrics from every segment, as well as leaderboards.

Should have:
Analyse data in a web browser using point and click report building tools. e.g. Plotly

Could have:
Analyse data in a web browser using advanced tools supporting custom report generation, script wirting and algorithm application. e.g. Jupyter notebooks

    Export data to a CSV or JSON file is all I need. C'mon this product appeals to data lovers, we can all use excel, we don't need a web application, just a file export from the app.

      Absolutely TRUE!! Engineer here who’s grown up skiing!! I even want the data when I’m teaching my daughter snow plow! (They need to allow us to come up with categories thought like, “teaching / coaching”, or “low snow / navigating barriers”, “skiing backwards”, and we should he able to FILTER based on our own categories!

      I also want to tell it techniques I’m comparing such as old school “A Frame”, or “boot buckles training”, or some kind of training we are doing and trying out to see what it does metric wise!!

      INJURY / that’s another I wish they would allow us to input! I tore my right ACL, got surgery, etc and want to track different things! In fact I have had 3 different surgeries in the last 2 years. I want to see how things progress strength and stability, speed, etc!

      • also they need to let us track our equipment!!

      • Boots (I want to test how each boot or tweak to my boots - I have 3–).

      • Skis (I have old straight skis still, GS and SL race. Want to see how turns and technique change. I also have SKI BLADEZ….aka TINY skis!! I used these quite a bit after surgery and they are totally different where you have to be very LIGHT ….NO G-Forces! You will loose the edges. But they are super fun to learn to he quick nimble and very light footed and staying centered!!.

      Maybe they can come up with BETA versions for people who want to track and organize their own things as options?

    I have same opinion to Gert-Jan de Boe. Web front end has big cost. only export raw data from native app or something is enough to work.

    Just do the export in CSV or similar format, rather than creating website (or any new interface) yourself (CARV team). Leave the heavy lifting of creating spreadsheets, necessary code to massage the data to the community. Win-win, you (developers) don't have that much work to do. And community is not locked to limited features of the interface create by CARV. Raw data is a king.

    If you provide a data export function, I think you’ll find that your user base will very quickly come up with Excel templates or other tools that provide robust analytic views across all of the provided data, which hopefully they’d be willing to share with the CARV community. This relatively simple task will address much of the requested functionality in the Suggestion Box. As it stands today it is cumbersome and painful to use the CARV app to see what I’m doing well and what I need to work on. I strongly suggest that you reconsider upping the priority of this request.

    Export all raw data as CSV or JSON from APP or REST API. Expected data Date time by nanosecond All metric turn by turn.     As a web developer, I understand the heavy lift this item is, and I am glad the Carv team seems to be focused on App improvements first. That said, here is an add-on to this idea that I think would be cool: Ability to link to an activity for others to view. Think of linking to a Strava entry. I just blogged about my progress and Carv, and it would have been fun to be able to link to the specific activity entry from that day's skiing.

    Why would CARV go to the effort of creating a web access able platform to review and analyze data just so someone can export it. I agree with the web access and the ability to view cool graphs but disagree with the comments related to data export. If CARV makes the app function better than the app for reporting and analysis why does one need to export?

      I was thinking I would export so that an AI system could be used to help me refine my skills. This is more powerful than using Carv’s built in teaching. That is good but I want deeper dive/more powerful analytics.
