Add support for different types of carving turns.
The Carving category appears calibrated for large-radius carved turns, the most common turn type. As a skier with 4 years of slalom experience, I carve 8 m radius short turns on 155 cm slalom skis. The app rates my turn closure at 35, while the "Shred Zeppelin" zone starts at 65. Short-radius turns naturally produce different values, so the score doesn't reflect my actual technique. Other carving metrics are likely affected as well.
Request: Please add a turn-type or ski-type setting (e.g., slalom, GS, all-mountain) so the carving scores and zones are calibrated to the kind of turn being skied. Even a simple selector of ski radius would help.

Hello Pepijn, Thanks so much for you feedback and request! You bring up some great points about how the built-in radius of the ski can play a factor in the resulting turn shape. Carv does have a separate Short Turns model, but when turns are cleanly carved with minimal skid, they’re classified as Carving even if they’re short and quick. That’s why your 8 m slalom arcs are being scored against the Carving zones, where a lower turn closure stands out more than it would for a typical short turn.
You’re not the only one who’s raised this, and we’ve passed your feedback on to the team, both on how short carved turns are classified and on the idea of a ski-type or turn-radius setting. - Grace with the Carv Team
