Drill Coaching

It would be nice if the system would identify when you are possibly stuck on a certain skill and recommend a run or two of specific drills. Maybe this could be a certain feature that could be turned on or off. Not only would it recommend the drills we see in the app under coaching, but it would coach us through them so we know we are doing them right and can master that particular drill and thus, maybe get through our plateau.

Or, if we keep the program as it is, we can go into the app, and select a new mode called, “drill”, or something like that, in addition to “Track”, “learn”, and “train”. This new mode would walk you through specific drills that focus on what the system can see we are having problems with and again, the system would detect we are running drills instead of just skiing. In this mode we would not get a Ski IQ score, or turn it into a “Drill IQ”.

Or a combination of both of the above-described feature updates. Every so often the program recommends switching to “drill” mode to get through a sticking point to see if the drill would help. The user can take the advice or continue in the same mode. If the user switches, the “drill” mode would then guide them through the suggested drills.

this is exactly what I would use carv for!

Great! I love it. Right now when I am doing a drill, I either have to stop Carv (but then I cannot see whether the metrics I’m working on is improving) or close my eyes on the runs with very low SkiIQ scores (which is understandable for drill runs, but very frustrating nevertheless). Drill mode would solve this dilemma.

As for the Carv-suggested drills when you are stuck at some point - that would be priceless!

Brilliant - exactly what we discussed whilst skiing in Training mode yesterday when stuck levelling up on a particular skill.
