Improve surface detection, or let user change this parameter if wrong.....

Really icy slopes have repeatedly been marked as “smooth”. The difficulty of doing e.g. clean short turns on ice, (and without razor sharp racer edges to boot 😄) should be factored in when rating a run.

    Agree. Carv noted all the pistes I skied over the last two days in hot, choppy and slushy conditions as smooth. They were not anywhere close to smooth. We used to be able to change the terrain in app but now I don’t see anywhere to do this.

    Thanks for the suggestion Thomas. The algorithm is not really wrong in that icy slopes are smooth, not bumpy. However, that doesn’t recognise how difficult they are to ski! Would be cool to detect this for sure 😎
