Instructor-like spoken interaction with CARV like:

Hey CARV,

  • give me feedback about the last run

  • how to improve (SPECIFIC_METRIC|MOST_IMPORTANT_METRIC)

  • why is my SPECIFIC_METRIC bad/good?

  • which drills could I try to improve (SPECIFIC_METRIC|MOST_IMPORTANT_METRIC)

  • etc.

Right now, the spoken feedback feels quite a bit static and repetitive. I'd like to have more adaptive feedback, especially if I'm continuously failing to improve a metric/skill.

I'm personally a Google Gemini power user, so I started to feed CARV screenshots into Gemini to get some reasoning into the feedback and results are not that bad. I just could imagine how a special trained LLM could work out, accessing the real data instead of Gemini using my screenshots 🤓

    Add LLM AI as Coach partner

    Suggestion to add a potential feature enhancement that could further elevate the CARV experience. It would be fantastic if a CARV LLM-powered AI could be integrated to interact verbally with skiers—providing feedback on performance, offering personalized tips, discussing areas for improvement, and even engaging in a conversation about the skier’s feeling of the run.
    This interaction could take place at key moments, such as at the end of each run/slop, mid-day for progress updates, or at the end of the day for a comprehensive and progress debrief. Having an AI-driven coaching assistant that delivers insights at strategic points could help skiers make real-time adjustments and reflect on their overall performance more effectively.
    Moreover, it would be great if CARV LLM-powered AI can get input from the skier regarding any suggested improvement coming from his real ski instructor to incorporate in the development plan and debrief mentioned above. CARVing the path for SuperSkiers.

    I also like the fact, that Gemini tried to compare the given runs and provide some insight. I wasn't able to validate the Gemini analysis on piste yet, although it sounds quite reasonable:

    I feel like this could lift CARV the last few steps to act and feel like a real coach and partner on the slopes!
