CARV already provides industry-leading data on skiing performance. To further increase user engagement, clarity, and progression, I propose the following enhancements to the Ski:IQ experience:
1. Visual Skill Benchmarks for Each Ski:IQ Metric
Add an interactive graph for every Ski:IQ metric showing:
The score thresholds required to achieve each Ski:IQ badge level
The user’s current score clearly plotted on that scale
This would help skiers better understand where they stand and what improvement looks like in concrete terms.
2. Expanded Ski:IQ Averages by Terrain Type
In addition to showing my highest Ski:IQ, provide an overall average Ski:IQ. As well as my average Ski:IQ on green, blue, and black runs
This would provide valuable insight into how performance changes with terrain difficulty and help users identify where technique breaks down.
3. Personalized Metric-Based Improvement Guidance
Provide clear, plain-language analysis identifying:
Which Ski:IQ metrics are strengths
Which metrics most limit overall Ski:IQ
For example: “Your early edging and edging similarity are strong. To raise your overall Ski:IQ, focus on increasing edge angles and improving edge build.”
This should be followed by specific, actionable drills or focus cues tailored to those metrics.
3a. Optional Professional Coach Review
Offer a premium option allowing users to:
Have a certified ski coach review their Ski:IQ metrics and trends
Receive personalized feedback and improvement recommendations
This would add expert validation, increase trust in the data, and create a compelling premium upgrade path.
Summary
These enhancements would make Ski:IQ more transparent, actionable, and coach-like—helping skiers clearly understand what to work on, why it matters, and how to improve faster.
