Routine to check data are being transmitted well when starting a session

Many Android users experience problems every time they start a session (undetected runs, 0% parallel skiing, etc). While sometimes it works the first time, many times it doesn't. The solution is “relatively simple”: reset the sensors several times until they work. Yet, you need to make a descent after each reset to check that they do now work, which is quite annoying (take gloves off, take phone out of pocket, reset, put phone in pocket, put gloves on, make a descent, stop, check that it works, etc). And when you get it working, if you decide to stop and restart another session, you may have the same problem again.

Since the problem in these phones lies in the bluetooth capabilities for the data from both sensors to arrive synchronized and manage all the information, wouldn't it be possible to introduce a routine in the app that simply checks each time we start a sesion that indeed the data are being transmitted well? Like a URL ping. This way all the needed resets can be done at once.
