As an instructor, I can see lots of potential for using Carv in a learning environment, particularly for private lessons. Having a student be able to see, not just feel, (objective vs subjective), would be an excellent teaching tool.
I could see some ski schools offering this as part of a private higher end lesson. Implementation would require some thought but as a starting point:
Ski school has Carv sensors for use by instructor in the class
Instructors are trained on Carv metrics and how to use. Probably instructors that already have the Carv system for their personal use and/or chosen by management.
A Carv program available for client to load on their phone for this one time use. Probably require special programming?
Ski school would pay a reasonable fee for sensors and program
Some of the benefits from my point of view:
Better feedback to the higher end skier or skier that has plateaued
Marketing opportunity for both the ski area and Carv
Skiers exposed to the system in a ski school environment may want to purchase a system for themselves.
