Skier's Edge dryland

I’d love to see Carv support or officially encourage use of the sensors during dryland training on a Skier’s Edge (or comparable lateral ski trainer).

The Skier’s Edge closely mimics the side-to-side edging, weight transfer, balance, and stance width used in modern skiing. Many of us already use it in the off-season or between trips to build ski-specific strength and muscle memory. Pairing Carv with it would let us get real-time or post-session metrics (edge angle, early edging, progressive edge build, balance, parallelism, etc.) while practicing the exact movements we later refine on snow.

This could work simply by detecting the repetitive lateral pattern and offering a “Dryland / Trainer Mode” that still scores the key metrics and provides coaching cues. Even basic tracking and historical comparison between Skier’s Edge sessions and on-snow runs would be hugely valuable.

It would make Carv even more useful year-round and help close the loop between off-snow conditioning and on-snow technique. Thanks for considering it!
