What is Carv?

Carv is a ski coach that lives in your pocket. It measures how you ski, scores your technique with a Ski:IQ™, and gives you personalised coaching to help you improve - on the chairlift, at the end of the day, and over the course of a season.

Carv exists because better skiers have more fun. Most of us want to ski harder terrain and feel more confident and controlled doing it. Instructors are brilliant, but we don't get to ski with one very often, so we fall back on guesswork - following faster friends, trying new terrain and hoping it sticks. Guesswork builds bad habits. Carv gives you an objective read on your skiing, every run, every day.

Two Ways to Experience Carv

Carv uses the motion sensors already in your phone. There's nothing to buy, charge or remember - download the app, start your free trial, ski your normal day and you'll get your Ski:IQ™ and coaching feedback. It's the lowest-friction way to start improving that we've ever built.

Carv Pro adds Carv 2, our second-generation boot sensors. Carv 2 clips to the outside of your boot and measures your skiing right where the boot, ski and snow meet. That direct measurement unlocks our full suite of performance metrics, turn-by-turn breakdowns and real-time audio feedback as you ski.

Both run on the same app and the same Ski:IQ™. Both give you coaching. The difference is depth.

Carv 2 sensors (Carv Pro) - two wireless, boot-mounted sensors containing gyroscopes, accelerometers and a bluetooth module that transmits the skiing data to your phone, with rechargeable batteries powered by USB-C and around five days of use per charge. They're water-resistant and snow-proof, clip on without any installation, and move between boots in seconds.
